The Isoten-class light kinetistars, like all Umnani skirmishers, derives its design from the Ukani-class kinetistar. The vessel saw a protracted development cycle spanning the last decade of the war, mostly due to negligence on the side of the Barrok-Liken Aerospace Corporation. The original commission from the LUA asked for a vehicle with a dry mass at or under 230 tons, and a crew requirement of just 11. Due to various resource setbacks and flaws, neither of these criteria were met in time to field the warship. Despite these flaws the Isoten-class showed promise in combat, with a relatively high acceleration of 468 milli-g and effective lightweight armor, it was also easier to repair in comparison to previous classes of the role due to an innovative segmented armor design - something that would be replicated in decades to come by the Akkalah Unitary State.
